J. Kevin Blodgett General Counsel and Executive Vice President, Administration

J. Kevin Blodgett serves as General Counsel and Executive Vice President, Administration.

Blodgett has responsibility for the company's administrative and legal affairs, including legal services supporting the company's operational, commercial and corporate areas, as well as government and regulatory affairs, human resources, information technology, ethics and compliance, and building services.

After joining Dynegy's Legal Group in 2000, Blodgett rose to the position of Group General Counsel - Corporate Finance & Securities and Corporate Secretary. He was later promoted to Senior Vice President of Human Resources. Prior to joining the company, Blodgett was an Associate at Baker Botts LLP and a member of the firm's Corporate Department. His principal practice areas included securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions and general corporate matters.

Blodgett received a bachelor's of arts from Texas A&M University and his juris doctorate from the University of Houston Law Center. His professional affiliations include the Texas Bar Association, the Houston Bar Association, the Houston Young Lawyers Association and the Fellows of the Texas Bar Foundation.  He serves on the board of Junior Achievement, a not-for-profit organization focused on educating and inspiring young people to value free enterprise, business and economics and improving the quality of their lives.
